Lucy Kim is a womenswear and knitwear designer with an emphasis on craftsmanship, texture, and emotional storytelling. Born in Korea and raised in Korea and Canada, she is now based in New York, where she is completing her BFA in Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, minoring in Multisensory Branding. Selected as one of six students to study Knitwear at Central Saint Martins in London, she continues to expand her creative practice through innovation and material exploration.
Her experience includes design and production roles at Danielle Frankel, Ines Di Santo, and Naadam, as well as participation in New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, and Bridal Market Week. Professionally trained in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Kaledo Knit, and Stoll M1, Lucy combines digital precision with hands on techniques in hand knitting, knitting, draping, and pattern making. With a background in fine arts and watercolor, she brings a painterly sensibility to her designs, balancing structure, movement, and emotion.
